It’s been a while since I wrote about face powder – knowing that these are products that I have been using more and more since perioral dermatitis. I wanted to test the By Terry Hyaluronic Powder that I have seen several times with my favorite bloggers !
By Terry Hyaluronic Powder : the VIP mattifying powder
Hyaluronic Acid Powder is a finishing powder that instantly mattifies the skin and blurs imperfections.
The powder comes in a branded box. Inside, there is an integrated foam applicator to facilitate its application.
The texture is light and silky – very fine on the face. The “white” color is universal and is suitable for all skin tones.
The formula highlights hyaluronic acid. This ingredient is known in cosmetics because it traps water and keeps the skin hydrated and radiant. Hayluronic acid has a “magnetic” effect that can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water to keep the skin intensely hydrated and restore its radiance. Mica, meanwhile, promotes long-lasting hold, provides second-skin comfort while having a super-luminous radiance boost.
The formulation is vegan.
My opinion on the By Terry powder
This powder is available in compact pressed powder and loose powder format. I opted for the compact powder to facilitate transport.
From the first use, I was very impressed with this powder. It really matifies without removing the “glowy” side, good looks of the makeup of the complexion.
The powder has a velvety texture which does not give a plaster effect to the face while blurring the imperfections. The result is smooth and even.
I like to apply it with a powder brush but the foam applicator is handy for “on-the-go” touch-ups. Usually I use it after I finish my makeup. The fact that the powder is white does not interfere with skin tone and previous skin tone products applied. I prefer the T zone and if you have more oily areas on the face, do not hesitate to apply the powder on these areas to absorb the excess sebum.
I really fell in love with this product and I understand the craze around this powder. It combines everything we want in one powder : lightness, a velvety matte finish and a luminous complexion.
