The white and blue striped dress is a timeless, timeless fashion. A piece that I cracked last summer and in which I jumped again as soon as we had a summer wave on the capital.
The white and blue striped dress: how to choose it?
The white and blue striped dress needs to be chosen according to your morphology: right or fitted cut, etc. For me, what also makes a big difference is the material and I loved it. This dress comes from 1 2 3, 2017 spring-summer collection, and is made of a light cotton and doubled to ensure the opacity necessary for this type of clothing.
What I liked was its pin-up cut and the fact it buttons like a shirt: retro but still elegant. She perfectly fits the curves of the body: chest, waist and its petticoat is perfect to turn the wind when I dance salsa with!
I like the print and the fact that the stripes were positioned obliquely. This accentuates the movement of the dress and brings a touch of modernity.
The white and blue striped dress: how to accessorize it?
With OGGI, we chose to mix together two necklaces. This dresses the neckline while bringing richness and a luxury touch to the whole look.
We have a hammered and brushed silver metal necklace with moonstones that has a very ancient Greek inspired that seduces me totally. The second is a bronze and white silver necklace, embellished with moonstones and small blue aquamarine enamels. The latter gives a more modern touch to the outfit and allows to create a shades of blue with the look.
I added my earrings, also from OGGI, hammered silver and aquamarine to remind the saltire and this touch of blue is the thread of the outfit.
Great sun and heat could not be thought of without a hat and I added a blue capeline to accent the retro and pinup side.
Finally, a pair of open blue patent sandals complete the look.
The white and blue striped dress in Paris
To stage this outfit, I wanted to shoot at the Jardin des Plantes with the help of my friend photographer Ivan, whose work you can discover on his website Bokeh Graphik Paris.
I absolutely wanted to immortalize this moment where the Japanese cherry blossoms: the hanami, which fill us with happiness and poetry. I love spring for its colors and this temporality which reminds us that life is an eternal beginning and that every state is ephemeral.
