Valentine’s Day look

In order to offer you a touch of inspiration for a Valentine’s day look, I met Paris under the snow – like every year (well, almost!). The first look shot, two years ago, was done on the pont des Arts with a freezing temperature. Last year, again, it was very cold and some snowflakes had made an appointment with my pink jumper for Valentine’s Day. 2018, it is a real snowstorm that serves as a stage for this shoot which was memorable!

Valentine’s Day look: the little black dress

Classic, will you tell me? I want to answer you timeless! No matter the occasion, it fits and knows how to bring the right touch of glamor! This dress was one of the first fitted pieces that I dared to buy following my weight loss 2 years ago. What a journey!

At the sight of freezing temperatures, I paired my dress with a black cardigan in large mesh and lurex thread that brings a little precious side that I love. I found this beautiful piece in the Fall/Winter 2017 collection from Burton of London.

Finally, a pair of derbies and a big wool coat (2017 Burton of London’s collection) to warm up!

Valentine’s day look: which accessories?

The desire to wear black comes with the choice of accessories for Valentine’s Day. I found my favorite shop, OGGI, to enchant my outfit with a nice touch of love!

To illuminate my dress, we chose to combine a jumper and a brooch. Obviously, hearts are in the spotlight. We find them on a necklace made with cultured pearl and engraved heart and a heart brooch gold plated with pearls. A baroque-inspired ring dresses my hand. The pearl is incredible and creates a movement that catches the eye. In order to dress the face, earrings in satin gold matte and mother of pearl surrounded by gold powder adds a touch of magic. It shines, it sparkles, I love it!

To dress up my cardigan, we created a playful composition around the color red. Vibrant, powerful color that is reminiscent of love. An orchid brooch in red silk velvet, modular and very romantic, combines with a boiled wool mouth pin that tells us “kiss me” with mischief. To play with the materials, we finished the construction with two small blown glass paste pins in a shades of red more or less transparent.

I hope this moment, certainly commercial, will be an opportunity to share a little more love and remember the importance of sharing small gestures everyday!
