Today, I’m sharing with you my soft lemon poppy cake recipe, one of the cakes I really love. This recipe is easy to make. In addition to being really delicious, it is a perfect dessert for fans of tangy sweets and desserts inspired by english style cuisine.

Lemon poppy cake recipe
150g melted butter
150g flour mixed with 1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp poppy seeds
Preheat the oven to 160°C on rotating air.
With the electric whisk, beat the sugar and eggs until the mixture whitens and doubles in volume.
Add alternately and still whisking flour and butter.
Add the zest of the 2 lemons and their juice. Finish by adding the poppy seeds.
Pour the preparation into the buttered and floured cake pan then bake for 50 min to 1 hour, depending on the power of the oven.
Let cool before unfolding it and enjoy with a hot beverage !
