Le week end, j’aime m’offrir un petit rituel soin à la maison.
J’utilise toujours un gommage et masque afin de bénéficier au maximum des actifs du masque. Les produits diffèrent en fonction des besoins de ma peau mais quand j’ai la sensation d’avoir besoin d’un nettoyage en profondeur, je suis fidèle à deux produits de la gamme SOTHYS qui sont le Gommage Exfoliant et la Desquacrem.
Qu’est-ce que SOTHYS?
Il s’agit d’une marque de produits disponibles en instituts et spas agrées.
Toute une histoire se cache derrière ce nom disponible sur le site internet.

J’ai découvert ces produits en allant à l’institut Davy (Montauban), il y a de ça 12 ans. J’ai tout de suite aimé les produits et le concept. La technicité offferte au travers des soins est une source de plaisir et d’évasion extraordinaire.
Quand ma peau a besoin d’un nettoyage et gommage en profondeur, je choisis d’utiliser le Gommage Exfoliant et la Desquacrem qui sont les produits utilisés dans les soins en institut. Tout en étant extrêmement doux avec la peau, leur action est de qualité.
J’utilise en premier le gommage et je poursuis avec la Desquacrem avant d’extraire les quelques comédons que je peux avoir et d’appliquer un masque.
Gommage Exfoliant

Sa formule, sans grains, à l’extrait de jasmin élimine en douceur les cellules mortes et favorise le renouvellement celullaire.
Les deux actifs principaux dans ce gommage sont l’extrait de Jasmin pour adoucir la peau et les poudres de kaolin et d’amidon de riz afin de débarrasser la peau des cellules mortes grâce à la formation de peluches (le produit « s’emiette » et la couleur devient plus foncée du fait de l’élimination des peaux mortes).
Ce produit se présente sous une crème à texture épaisser. Une noisette vous suffit pour votre visage.
Ce gommage est à appliquer sur peau sèche, démaquillée, en évitant le contour des yeux. Il fait laisser sécher le produit sans aller jusqu’à son absorption complète. Une fois toutes les particules enlevées, il vous suffit de rincer votre visage.
Ce gommage peut s’utiliser 1 à 2 fois par semaine pour les peaux normales à mixtes.
Pour les peaux fines/fragiles/sensibles: 1 fois toutes les 2 semaines.
A chaque utilisation, ce gommage rend ma peau lisse et souple. Mon teint est plus clair.
Desquacrem

Ce nettoyant profond aide à débarrasser la peau des impuretés qu’elle fabrique naturellement: sueur, excès de sébum, etc. C’est un soin idéal et universel pour lutter contre les points noirs.
L’un de ses actifs: l’extrait de gysophile, est connu pour ses vertus nettoyantes.
Le produit se présente sous forme de crème moussante à la texture perlée. L’odeur est très légère et agréable.
Répartir en couche fine sur peau humide en évitant le contour des yeux. Masser et laisser agir 1 minutes (sauf sur peau sensible). Emulsionner à l’eau. Rincer. Renouveler les deux opérations jusqu’à élimination complète du produit.
Après avoir délicatement sécher votre visage, c’est le moment idéal pour appliquer le masque de votre choix.
La desquacrem peut s’utiliser:
- 2 fois par semaine pour les peaux grasses
- 1 fois par semaine pour les peaux normales à mixtes, et
- 2 fois par mois pour les peaux sèches/sensibles/déshydratées

I discovered these products by going to Davy‘s institute (Montauban, south west of France), there is of that 12 years. I immediately liked the product and concept. The technical offferte through the facial is a source of pleasure and extraordinary escape.
When my skin needs a deep cleansing and exfoliation, I choose to use the biological skin peeling and Desquacrem which are the products used in beautyfacials. While being extremely gentle on the skin, their work is quality.
I use the scrub first and I continue with Desquacrem before extracting the few blackheads that I can have and apply a mask.
Gommage Exfoliant/Biological skin peeling
This is an extremely effective peeler designed to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells and excess sebum/oil deposits, refining the complexion, brightening and smoothing the skin.
The Gommage Exfoliant is based on kaolin and rice starch, and is enriched with Jasmine to maintain softness after exfoliation. This product can be used on all skins is gentle enough for delicate skin and leaves the skin refined in texture, lightened and smoothed.
SOTHYS believe harsh scrubs and peels should be avoided on the face as they can scratch the skin and cause inflammation, aggravate fragile capillaries, and sensitise the skin. The Gommage Exfoliant is recommended prior to the use of Desquacrem or Morning Cleanser to help the penetration and the emulsifying action of these deep biological cleansers.
Benefits: Gentle, non-abrasive formulation, suits all skin types, lightens and refines skin texture, assists absorption of treatment serums and creams.
Method: Apply a thin, even coverage (3-5ml) to a dried skin following cleansing. Allow Gommage to dry for about a minute then holding the skin firm rub the Gommage off with the fingertips exfoliating the dead skin cells that can make the skin look dull and lifeless. Rinse off any remnant of the Gommage Exfoliant from the skin and gently towel dry. Then apply SOTHYS Treatment Lotion, serums and creams according to skin type. Use 1-2 x per week.
Desquacrem
A deep biological cleanser of remarkable efficiency, Desquacrem has perfect affinity with the skin’s tissues, emulsifying biological waste accumulations excreted through the skin and environmental pollutants the skin would otherwise absorb.
Desquacrem, boosted with gypsophila root, digests fatty excretions and disencrust the follicular orifice, enzymatically emulsifying waxy esters (oily impurities), comedones (blackheads) and milia (hard waxy deposits). Desquacrem prepares the skin to absorb serums and treatment creams allowing for a more efficient utilisation of their active ingredients. A non-alkaline, pH balanced formulation that deeply cleanses the skin without the skin feeling stripped or tight.
The use of Gommage Exfoliant or Micro Gel peeling prior to the application of Desquacrem gives a double action peeling and deep biological cleansing in perfect synergy.
Recommended for all skin types, use twice a week for normal skin, with oily congested skin able to use Desquacrem up to three times weekly.
Deep enzymatic action on fatty deposits leaving the skin brightened and lightened, assisting absorption of treatment serums and creams, can be used conveniently in the shower, and is easily taken when travelling.
Method: Using a small amount only (1/2 ml or size of a peanut) disperse Desquacrem over the entire face and neck area. Using wetted fingertips, massage for 1 minute with brisk circular action. Then allow to penetrate for 2-3 minutes. Emulsify with wetted finger tips to bring the product back to the skin’s surface. Using tepid water rinse off several times until the skin feels free of the product. The SOTHYS Treatment Lotion should then be used after Desquacrem.
