La marque Remington a lancé sa gamme PROtect à l’automne et j’ai eu le plaisir de découvrir ces innovations.
Pour tout vous dire, je n’ai jamais essayé des accessoires de coiffage jusqu’alors, à part le traditionnel sèche-cheveux. Ayant toujours eu les cheveux courts, la question ne s’est jamais réellement posée. Néanmoins, lors que la soirée Bricole Tour organisée par le magazine Paulette, j’ai pu vivre l’expérience Remington et ai beaucoup apprécié le résultat (photo).
Avec la gamme PROtect, Remington souhaite allier le soin et le coiffage. On le sait toutes, la chaleur n’est pas la meilleure amie de nos cheveux. Elle doit être utilisée avec attention afin de ne pas trop attaquer la fibre du cheveu.
Les accessoires de la gamme PROtect combinent deux nouvelles technologies innovantes: Hydracare et Thermocare. Une température contrôlée et optimale, la diffusion d’une brume fraîche pour hydrater et préparer le cheveu ainsi qu’une céramique enrichie en huiles de soin (kératine, huiles d’argan et macadamia): tous ces éléments facilitent le coiffage tout en préservant le cheveu.
La gamme PROtect se décline en trois articles: le sèche-cheveux, le lisseur et le fer à boucler. J’ai décidé de tester le boucleur puisque mes cheveux sont lisses naturellement et que mon sèche-cheveux n’a pas besoin d’un remplaçant pour le moment.
A travers quelques photos, je vais vous montrer comment je réalise des boucles sur cheveux courts ainsi que deux idées pour accessoiriser la même base de coiffage.
Remington launched its range Protect in fall and I had the pleasure of discovering these innovations.
To be honest, I’ve never tried styling tools until then, apart from the traditional hairdryers. I always had short hair, the question has never really came on the table. Nevertheless, during the Bricole Tour evening organized by the magazine Paulette, I was able to try Remington products and I really enjoyed the result (photo).
With the PROTECT range, Remington wants to combine care and styling. We all know that the heat is not our hair’s BFF. It should be used carefully so I won’t overly attack the hair fiber.
The tools of the Protect range combines two innovative technologies: HydraCare and Thermocare. An optimal controlled temperature and, a distribution of a cool mist to moisturize and prepare the hair as well as enriched ceramic with oils (keratin, argan and macadamia oils) All these elements helps styling while preserving hair.
You will find three tools in the PROTECT range: hair dryer, straightener and curling iron. I decided to test the curler since my hair is naturally straight and my hairdryer didn’t need a replacement for the moment.
Through some pictures, I’ll show you how I make my short hair curly and how to accessorize with the same basic styling.
Avec des cheveux épais, il est préférable de créer sa coiffure sur des cheveux J+2 après les avoir lavés. J’utilise un peu de shampoing sec pour enlever l’excès de sébum et apporter texture aux cheveux. Celui que j’utilise en ce moment est le COLAB Sheer + Invisible.
Ensuite, j’attache mes cheveux avec une pince et je commence à boucler mes cheveux par petite section du côté de ma mèche asymétrique. Pour l’autre côté, je me sers du boucleur pour lisser la partie qui va être plaquée.
Pour terminer et fixer, j’utilise un spray aux cristaux de sel marin: le Coiffé Décoiffé de Jacques Dessange.
With thick hair, it’s best to style your hair on D+2 hair washed. I use some dry shampoo to remove any sebum excess and provide texture to the hair. The one I’m currently using is the COLAB Sheer + Invisible.
Then I clip my hair and I start to curl my hair by small section of the asymmetric side. For the other side, I use the curler to smooth the part I’m going to flatten.
To complete and secure the look, I use a sea salt : the Jacques Dessange Coiffé Décoiffé.
On peut garder ce look coiffé-décoiffé pour un effet rock ou alors ajouter des fleurs pour se transformer en pin-up. Sinon, un headband donnera un effet un peu plus sage (on peut aussi s’inspirer du look de Blair Walforf!).
We can keep this messy hairdo on its own for a rock’n’roll look or adding some flowers for a pin-up effect. Otherwise, a headband will give a « good girl » look (or we can rock the Blair Waldorf’s style!).
C’était un challenge tant pour moi que pour mes cheveux. En effet, la particularité de mes cheveux est qu’ils sont très épais et ont leur vie propre! J’aime beaucoup l’effet rock que cela donne à ma coupe. Même avec des cheveux courts, on peut s’amuser et j’adore!
Etant une novice dans l’utilisation d’accessoire, j’ai trouvé la prise en main plutôt facile et simple. Avec les cheveux courts, l’astuce est de « coincer » l’extrémité de la mèche dans le fer et de l’enrouler autour.

It was a challenge for me and my hair. Indeed, the peculiarity of my hair is there are very thick and they have a life on their own! I really lie how it’s rocking my hairdo. Even on short hair, we can have fun and I’m loving it!
Being a new be in this kinda tools, I found it rather easy and simple to handle. With short hair, the trick is to clip the end of your hair section in the curler and wrap it around the wand.
